As part of Black History Month, Nick Ciletti visited the African American Museum of Southern Arizona, which offers a vault into our state's history.
"There were so many things I learned about - like the history of Buffalo Soldiers in Arizona. I think what impressed me the most is that although the size of the room where the museum is housed may seem modest, it is jam-packed with exhibit after exhibit. These stories deserve to be told and I think Bob and Beverly Elliott have done such a service to our state by founding this museum (and a much-deserved shout-out to their grandson Jody as well, whose curiosity in first grade helped inspire the museum's creation!) The best part is, the museum is free to make sure anyone has access to this hidden gem!"
